Asha Carpenter: the main character. She has two loves, astronomy and Les. She's tired of living a dull but safe life. The night she decides to take a chance she discovers a horrifying secret about herself.

Les Crisanto: Ivory's best friend. He rides a motorcycle. Though he has a history of getting into fights, he's a calm and steady presence in Asha's life, and seemingly unaware of her love for him. He hunts vampires with Ivory.

Christoffer Thomsen

Criseyde Xavier-Moore: Asha's vivacious best friend. She's very confident, loyal, and doesn't care what people think.

Aiste Regina

Radu (Rade): a vampire who shares a disturbing connection with Asha. His motivations are unclear.



Ivory Carpenter: Asha's older brother. His main focuses are hunting vampires and keeping Asha safe, which leaves him little time for a social life.

Aleskie: a vampire girl.

Lucinda: a vicious vampire responsible for killing young women around the city.

Palefinger: a big scary vampire.

Mercer: a self-serving guy who has worked with Les and Ivory.

Rhys: a younger boy who works at a nearby café Asha and Criseyde frequent. He has a crush on Criseyde.

Ethan: Rhys's older brother.

Setting
Las Secas, a fictional city in the Southwest, based very loosely on Las Vegas (no casinos, though).
